My litestep folder on my C:\ drive is read only and it can't be changed. So all over the files within i can't modify or some even open. This proves to be a problem when i want to edit some files...

i looked through the stickies and searched the forum. couldnt find anything.

any help?

Well...it wouldn't be here because folder permissions aren't part of LS. Are you an administrator on your machine? What files are you trying to edit and how?

I'd be interested in knowing how LS got INSTALLED if C: is read only?

C: isnt read only the LS folder is read only. I am administrator on my computer i can edit any other folder I want for some reason whenever i change the read only attribute of the LS folder it returns to normal.

im trying to edit files like theme.rc and resulting config files to customize themes but when i click on the says access denied or when i right click and click edit.

Right Click...Choose Open With...Select your Text Editor and set it as the default. You associated .rc files with LiteStep in which they should be associated with a Text Editor.
