Using ckVMW ver.1.3.4.0 in a modified nonstep theme. When I switch desk tops the vmw loses track of any docked windows in quark/photoshop/ultradev. Now I dearly love litestep but this is major pain I would love to fix. BTW *VMWFix Photoshop seems inaffective - any ideas out there......

Have you tried any of the other VWM modules, such as RabidVWM?

Nope - but would that fix it??

I dunno, you'd have to try.

RabidVWM seems to me to have fixed several of the issues ckvwm has had, not that ckvwm is broken or anything, but you should probably check out RabidVWM.

is the line in your step.rc like you typed here:
*VMWFix Photoshop

cause it should be:
*VWMFix Photoshop

W & M should be switched ;)

Egonz - how could you resist not calling me a prat!! :0)
I'm a creative - web and print design so a bit on the dyslexic side and it's typical of me to miss details like that (always looking at the bigger picture you know!
Big thankyou Egonz - I'm V grateful
BTW I downloaded winspy to check the class names of my other palleted programs - so will try that out too.

TucknDar - Wahay!! No spaces in my step.rc - must be 'keyboard creep' Quark and Photoshop seem ok but Ultradev is proveing to be stubborn. I'm gonna try a tool called 'Dreamweaver Improver' to see if it creates a parent class for the Ultradev pallets.

I'll be back to embarrass myself again soon :0)
