Any way to detect clicks in general? Thread last updated on 2007-12-02 02:00:46

Hi,

I want to make VWM2-2.1 run a bit differently, at the moment, right click changes window and no other clicks can be defined. I want to be able to, say left click on a window to change, and right click on a window to change and gather all tasks.

There are no OnClick events for VWM2. What I was hoping was that there is a way to register if there is a click, at all. I could then detect if there was a click in a zone, from which I would be able to make the module act the way I want. Is this possible with some module or command I don't know of?

Thanks for reading.

Also - for me, VWM never switches desktop on focus of an application, regardless of all settings to the contrary. I've looked through personal files and found no existing entries that would cause this behaviour, does anyone have any ideas?

i don't have an answer to your question, but figured since we're on the topic:

it seems that when im on the first desk, i can't go !vwmprev to loop to the last, and visa versa. anyone know anything about this?

I actually just solved my problem, just put a label over it with an alphatransparancy of 1, then recreate the VWM functions from there. Now a right click gathers, and a left click selects. Makes much more sense.

splizzle, dunno - I don't use !vwmprev.

Can you get it to focus the right desktop when selecting a task?

From what I remember there should be a setting to loop the VWM's. I believe it is defined in your personal.rc even.
