started using LiteStep back in probably '96 or '97, back before I found *nix even ... very good to see that the project is still under active development, with a strong community and a skilled core of developers. Although it's been a few years since I've run Windows regularly, I may have to drop LS on the VM I use occasionally just to see how it's changed. :)
congrats to the developers and the user community!
Couldn't have been 96 as LS wasn't released until 97... but yeah, it's been 10 years. Happy birthday LiteStep! Personally my 10 year anniversary as an LS user happens June next year. It's quite astounding thinking that it's been that long, I mean I was 23 back then. Gah, now I'm starting to feel old...
If only litestep was like wiskey, getting better by the years.
I honestly don't remember the year. But I know it was a Cyrix 133mhz running the show. 32mb Ram (HUGE!!!), 200mb Seagate and a Diamond Stealth 2000 4mb Vid card. One of Boxxi's themes was my first iirc. It's been a while for sure!
Back then there were a dozen theme's a week comming out. Now it's down to a dozen a year. :(
wow it has been 10 years and 3 pcs later (not counting installing it on my parents pc when I first found out about litestep) first thing I do after a clean install of windows is install litestep, sigh.
Still almost a month to go guys...
