im trying to find out how much people actually use modules like xstat and rainmeter. i see cpu/mem and sometimes drive/net on alot of themes. do you actually use this info? im at my comp 24/7 and 'monitor rarely.' should this always be included in a useful (read:community) theme?
Woot first vote.
Only time I care is if my computer is running funny, then I'll take a look.
only thing i like to know is bandwith usage, so i can see the speed for streaming video and stuff like that... My drives and ram are too big to fill up ever, and i dont need a cpu graph to know when my pc freezes ...
I watch CPU, RAM/Swap, and Net I/O. CPU and memory because sometimes apps start to behave badly, and I take great delight in terminating them in the task manager when they do so. Net I/O because I like to know if it's my router/wireless adapter, my ISP, or the DL site that's making things go slowly. (I can do independent checks of the first two...).
I use xstatsgraph/xstatsclass for everything these days.
ok. i was deciding whether or not to make a full featured, drag and drop mini-module for monitoring able to be personalized to taste (in my theme) but i think i'll come one step down to 'monitor alot' which is more a catagorized system monitor.
