Do we have a fix for Windows Updates? Thread last updated on 2007-05-17 09:36:25

Seems I have to boot into Explorer about once a week as my system hits a wall with wuauclt.exe sucking resources like crazy.

Do we have a fix for the Windows Update issue / problem yet? Do others have this issue as well?

You do not need to boot into explorer...you just need to go to Windows Update and take the update.

DeV does windows update (the site) close when its finished updating?
For me the progress window stays open with only "cancel" as an option.

Don't think cancel has any affect on the window (I just kill iexplore.exe, and reboot and it has taken the updates)

Windows Update works fine for me. Sounds like you don't have the most recent activeX control for it though. Perhaps you've blocked it from being installed?

You could always switch to WindizUpdate.
