Updating a theme (to be OTS2 compliant) Thread last updated on 2007-03-23 08:05:37

I found an old System Shock 2 LS theme on a fan site and tried loading it. Of course it didn't work, but it got me thinking. I have never done a litestep theme, but I was wondering what I would need to do to make it OTS2 compliant. Essentially I would just reuse it and bring it up to date unless I might as well start from scratch.

Thanks,

-Devin

It depends strongly on the theme; some are quite easy to upgrade, while others - well, you might as well just start over. Spend some time first checking for upgrades of that theme by somebody else.

Not saying I am offering my service but if you post a link to download the file I am sure somebody will take a look at it.

I'll do a little more thorough checking for an updated version.

That's an oldie... pre-OTS, no? (before my time)

I saw references in 1999 to it's creation, so about eight years old. More than likely I would have to start from scratch.

Never having made one before, where would I start?
