hey guys, I have updated to xpaintclass and associated modules, but my text stats no longer work.
Followed all the tutorials and examples, but when i do stuff like [activetask], in the theme it says [activetask] instead of the active task.
I have netloadmoduled xstatsclass, and even copied the module to the litestep folder, and i get nothing.
What am i doing wrong?

I would delete all the old versions - in your litestep folder and in the modules folder - and then !netload them again. Problems like this are almost always because of an older version being loaded inadvertently. You'll probably have to kill LS to delete all the old versions and then restart.

Well, I only have one version, and thats 1.0. Havent downloaded any others previously to trying this.
Anything else?

All the escape sequences work fine for me. Do you have a *netloadmodule line in your theme for both the xpaintclass and xstatsclass modules? Do you load them before you load xlabel/xtaskbar/etc., i.e., anything that depends on them for something?

Yup, I have jdesk, then statsclass. Paintclass wont load, as it cant find it so i just have it in the litestep folder, which works fine.
Could you post a bit of code with how you did it?

Well, that's probably the issue then - you ought to be able to have a *netloadmodule line for xpaintclass, too. Download the latest version of xpaintclass and the xmodules from lsuniverse manually if it's not working automatically, stick them in your modules folder (or modules/archive for the zips) and get rid of the one in your litestep folder.

Ok, Ill try that when I get home.
I dont want to use this method though, as people that download my next theme will be all like "Oh teh noes! its borked! you suxor1"
Ahh well.

I see what the problem was... it was in fact my noobness... one must load statsclass before everything else but after paintclass... pah!
