So being comfortable with computers, and pretty much being able to do anything I want with them, I thought I'd give litestep a try. A little tricker than I expected, no other thing really has given me any problems, but when in the midst of trying to change the theme, I fucked it up. I restarted my computer without reseting the "step_bac" to "step" anyway when the interface opens nothing shows up. No menu's no desktop icons. Right click doesn't work.
I technically log in, but it doesn't go anywhere past that. I realize I'm going to get flamed for making this error. It's prolly a common one, and I've searched these forums for some help, and couldn't really find any.

Would getting out my XP cd, and repairing windows bring it back to its previous condition, or does anybody have a better way of fixing the situation.

Thanks,
Sean

Try Ctrl-Shift-Escape. This usually brings up TaskManager. From there, you can see if your shell is running (either explorer.exe or litestep.exe).

If not, you can select menu option File / New task. Browse to your litestep folder and run litestep.exe or to your Windows folder and run explorer.exe.
To set your shell, you can run the "SetShell" program (or your own shell manager tool). Browse to the utilities folder in the Litestep folder. Run SetShell.exe with the shell you want as a command line parameter (e.g., "C:\Litestep\utilities\setshell.exe c:\litestep\litestep.exe" )

If your shell *IS* running already, then one of the really smart guys will have to help...
