Changing which Litestep.exe is run on startup Thread last updated on 2007-01-09 19:50:54

I've been messing around with Thc's OTS3 proposal, and it's working pretty well, except that when I start up my computer, the litestep.exe that starts is the one from C:\LiteStep, which is my OTS2 directory, rather than C:\Litestep-ots3. I've tried mucking around with msconfig, but I can't find the startup item to change. What do I need to do?

Check the install instructions HERE. It will point you to the registry entries/file you need to change. You could also invest in a free shell manager like Carapace or ShellOn to choose on the fly.

Which instructions should I follow for XP - NT or 2000?

Is "either" what you meant?

If you installed using Omar's installer, just use the setshell.exe in the utilities folder.

Looks like that one worked just fine. Thanks.

a very clever man, who only comes around here every few days, wrote an "install.py", which can even register the .lsz file type too and sits in the install dir.^^
