Try this, however it is the same concept.

I don't know what to do with themes whithout the file theme.rc. In many themes there isn't file "theme.rc". For example theme name : "bar3"

You can do the same thing with the step.rc!

The difference is OTS1 = step.rc
And OTS2 = theme.rc

When OTS2 was released there was a strict structure to follow when releasing themes and modules got moved to a separate folder that all themes could share.
Now that I noted this pay attention to the theme.rc and step.rc.
And if you can stay with OTS2 themes... or convert them using the layout of a theme.rc...

I made the following steps :

1) Open Edit file C:\LiteStep\profiles\User\personal\jkey\vk104.txt

2) Paste VolDown , AE and Save C:\LiteStep\profiles\User\personal\jkey\vk104.txt

3) Open Edit file C:\LiteStep\profiles\User\personal\hotkey.rc (Software: LS Theme Maker v1.5)

4) Paste *Hotkey .none VolDown !SliderVolumeDown and Save C:\LiteStep\profiles\User\personal\hotkey.rc (Software: LS Theme Maker v1.5)

5) Download & Paste file lsslider-1.71.dll to directory C:\LiteStep\modules\

6) Open Edit file C:\LiteStep\profiles\user\themes\austerity\theme.rc (Software: LS Theme Maker v1.5)

7) Paste *NetLoadModule lsslider-1.71 and Save file C:\LiteStep\profiles\user\themes\austerity\theme.rc (Software: LS Theme Maker v1.5)

Volume Down (-)......It’s ok, it’s working.

I am asking this: If I make the steps (6) and (7) not in a theme.rc file but in a step.rc file, then you say that it is going to work?
I am asking this because I have done it and it didn’t work in step.rc file. Do I do something wrong? For example theme name : "bar3"

It will work after you recycle LiteStep in Austerity and Austerity only.

Thank you for your helpful information. Finally the + and – volume keys work. The problem is with the mute key (code ......!Mute_Toggle) which does not work. Should I use any extra file as I did with the volume keys when I used lsSlider.dll code ......!SliderVolumeDown ?

Try something like
!SliderSetVolume [Winamp] 0

Posted by member 1949 on 2007-01-05 06:33:47 link

!mute_toggle is only a valid bang command using the Obsidian theme for ls.

What you need to do is locate your docs folder
ex:
C:\litestep\modules\docs
Then find the module readme file for that module.
In your case lsslider 1.71

In the docs file you find all related info on how to setup each module and all
available bang commands.

What you are looking for is this bang and not !mute_toggle
!SliderMute "specify channel here"

Specify the channel to mute also...

Thank you for your helpful information (Again).

Volume Down (-)......It’s ok, it’s working.
Volume Down (+)......It’s ok, it’s working.
Volume Mute..........It’s ok, it’s working.
