I have used litestep several years now, but after last format and I reinstallet LS (LiteStep 0.24.7) I have had some problems with viewing movies. I just get a brown window for some players and green for others, however, if I load Explorer as shell it works nice, seems there is a registry error somewhere that tells how the shell should load codecs. anyone able to help me with this?

Its not a Codec problem. The cause of this is most likely an alpha shaded pixel at 0,0. Remove that and you should be good. Look around in the forums. I seem to remember a thread about this a few weeks ago.

Do you have anything at 0,0?

yea, I moved
sidebar, xtaskbar and xtray
to 1,1 instead. works fine now

Just curious, how does this error happen if pixel 0,0 i set as origo?

if there is a transparent/semi-transparent pixel at 0,0 you get no movie because of a bug in M$'s DirectX. But you know that because we covered that already.
