Hi all.

Been years since I have been in. Still using ls 0.24.6.1 herem, as I didn't care for the downloading of modules that litestep evolved to. I just felt it was a little too invasive. So anyway...I was just wondering what is going on with LS these days. So if you are bored, please fill me in on the latest! I will be uploading a screenshot of my latest theme later today...
Thanks

xModules: You know shortcut, and maybe label (depending how long it's actually been), right? Yeah, they've been replaced...big time.

If it has been long enough, the wharf has sort of died. It can easily be redone, but no one has bothered to make such a theme (xLabel and friends are fully capable of recreating the functionality and look).

To try some themes using them well, check out Popsicle and FBL Dynamic.

We've got real scripting in LS now, but it's taking time to really get to use it well. LSLua and pyscript (pyscript-0.2 probably needs to go ahead and get releaed--hint hint) give us Lua (5.1) and Python (2.4 with pyscript-0.1); both of which are top-notch languages. LSLua is a little more rough, but its issues are minor (small memory leak on !recycle, minor lack of LSAPI access compared to pyscript).

Oh, and you know litestep.com? It had a wiki, and was up, and is now down again for some time.

There's mostly a new OTS, too. Tobbe basically needs to get his part done, and then we need to bicker a little more over at lsdev.org, and a modern installer will be out.

I've started wearing pants again.

Yes, well, that skirt never really did suit you.

And I've managed to skirt wearing a suit.

I knew I should have kilt both of you.

Um, well aside from the clothing issues...ls seems to be still rolling along well. Thanks for the info Cerbie. I downloaded several themes (including the two you noted) and it appears there are some very talented folks who have joined the community since I joined. Currently am running Sryo's Orb4. I think on one of my boxes I have like 5 versions of Orb...lol! Very nice.
I still have issues with the download install of modules...have had to search the rc's and make changes to all the themes I install...but it isn't much of anything but an inconvienence. Guess I best get to work and try and update some of the themes I have whipped up over the last few years. Thanks again all. Oh, btw like all the work you all have up. Nice work!

Just uploaded a workaround I made for Austerity. Just threw some things together and used my popup images. I forgot how enjoyable it is to play with LS! Thanks again all!
