What is the easiest way to bring back programs that are running in the background?...

for example AIM when it minimizes to the taskbar that is no longer there..

Im new as of an hour ago to lite step, and so far its AMAZING.

I think he might be talking about the VWM bug where your apps show in tasks manager but alt+tab does nothing.
They are stuck on another vwm window...

There's also the issue of when LS crashes and I have to restart it. Lots of times I have apps in the SysTray that I can no longer access. Wasn't there an "LS crash recovery" app or something at one time?

There are apps that will restart litestep but they dont send a refresh to those apps...

Tray manager (a PC mag utility) can restore tray icons when the shell crashes - Explorer or LiteStep. An app like winexplorer can also help you locate and reposition "lost" windows. There are other tricks as well - many of them posted in these forums. =)
