I'm very new to Litestep. My friend showed me the World of Warcraft theme and I liked it. I'm wanting to change themes. I downloaded a new theme and go to the theme I'm wanting to change to but I get two errors.
First one is:
Variable "LiteStepDir" not found in step.rc

Second is:
Couldn't find file "moudles\VISColor.txt"

I got to the readme that came with the theme but it goes right over my head. If you can make sense of the following it would be very helpful

To make this absolutely work you have to put the modules.ini file that came with this zip in your litestep program
directory for it to read the right settings. if you dont some apps will not work... another reason for them not
working is if you have alternative file names for the litestep directory therefore your gonna have to edit the
modules .ini. each mod has its own config make sure all the directories point to where the theme is. In the litestep
directory you need to edit the step.rc with this line ( litestepdir c:\litestep\ )

Sounds like you got a theme from another site that wasn't OTS2 compliant and tried to install it. Or you are running an OTS2 theme on a non-OTS2 install. You pick!

May I tempt you with a WoW theme that does work?

The WoW theme works. I got it from this site. I got the other theme from this site as well.

That theme is just OTS not OTS2.
So youll probably need to update it to OTS2 to get it working properly.

or install the compatability patch thinga-ma-jigger...which works about 20% of the time.

How do I update it?

Read up on OTS2, read up on module configuration, read up on Litestep configuration, be patient and figure out what you need to modify to get it working under OTS2.

Or be lazy and look for an OTS2 theme you can use.

tough one...I'm gonna go with being lazy for now
