Um...I know this has probably been already asked, but the search button's busted...

I wanna have a theme but still have the icons of my desktop.

How do I do that?

Install a desktop icon module into your theme?

Oh, no...Wait...

I don't want to MAKE a theme...

See, I downloaded the VistaStep theme and used it, but the icondesk file wouldn't download. So my icons never showed up. I WANT them to show up .

How do I do that?

Same process...just isn't being written from scratch.

Check the version number of icondesk specified in the theme against those available for download on the module sites. The themer probably just made a mistake there, and was using something they'd already downloaded manually.

Yes you do. You just haven't realised it yet.

Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

Look though your theme's options to see if it supports desk icons. If not, open your theme.rc in a text editor and add

*NetLoadModule clickonic-1.0
*Clickonic DeskIcons
DeskIconsFolder ".desktop"

below the other *NetLoadModule lines in there ...

It works.

Thanks, everybody.
