My Winamp volume slider jumps back to maximum volume position whereever I release it. Real volume doesn't jump tho. How to fix this?

I have the same problem with Tangent Universe's winamp controls. It's quite annoying.

I have this problem when using DirectSound output on winamp. Try using wave-out instead.
