I downloaded LiteStep and StyleXP like 6 months ago and then they started to make my computer run slowly so i got rid of it. The problem is that when i got rid of them, my XP bootscreen went too so now everytime i sign on i have to use the classic bootscreen where i type in my name and password and then press logon. How do i restore the original XP bootscreen to its normal state?

They? LiteStep won't make your computer "run slowly", but StyleXP will, as it is full of spyware/adware.

Also, I think you have confused the boot screen (the black one with the XP logo which is shown when your machine boots up) with the XP welcome screen. What you need to do is open User Accounts in the Control Panel, select "Change the way users log on and off", and finally check the "Use welcome screen" box.

The problem is that the "Use welcome screen" box is checked but the classic welcome screen still comes up when i logon. I just want to know how to restore the XP welcome screen.

install whatever app you use to change your welcome screen and reset it to the default?
