I'm new to LS. Actually I just got it today, I tried to search the docs for a way to install Modules but I really couldn't find a how-to. I'm trying to install this (http://www.litestep.net/?section=7&action=details&catId=&id=108).
The readme doesnt provide much help it just says to add lines, and I tried to add them to Step.rs and a Base.rs then I quit LS and I reran LS.exe however I got an error message each time, so I'm assuming I added the lines to the wrong place.
What does the error message say?
Try this module Clickonic by seg
This module is the closest to having the explorer desktop functionality you can get with litestep.
Here is a config that will get you running quickly...
Just add the lines below to your "theme.rc" file in the theme you want icons.
Also litestep has a recycle feature to refresh changes.
You do not need to kill ls and restart every time.
ctrl+alt+f1
or
Main popup/LITESTEP/RECYCLE
Enjoy...

@ Xcal thanks alot dude, but the current version that i could find was "1.7.5" not "1.7.6". I rechecked the downloads page from this site and found 1.7.5. So i just changed the netdl to 1.7.5, then i reloaded and realized that now i had 2 conflicting plugins so i had to disable the default one. Thanks alot for your help.
Woah, I tried to move some icons around and got weird black boxes all over my screen now with xDesktop. Anyone else have that?
@immortal, Am i missing something or can u not drag icons? with clickonic
Try reading Immortal's post. It'll solve your problems.
The black boxes are usually from a removed icon that xdesktop still has stored in its config.
xDesktop has more features, but Immortal's suggested module is more accurate to explorer's desktop.
