advance4[LiteStep]/pro v1.0 problems with theme. Thread last updated on 2006-08-21 22:44:19

Advance4\pro theme for LiteStep very cool and i find it very functional.
Unfortunatly i have some problems:

1. I can't change the colors of the theme. When i try to do it LiteStep
recycles but color of the theme don't changes.

2. Sometimes, when LS loading with advance4\pro theme, the loading of
proccesor achiev 99% and it's because litestep take all the system
sources(with other themes it's not happen). Also in that time nothing
happens so i must to close litestep and run it again to make it work
normal.

p.s. I suspect that first problem because of a popup2.dll or some mistakes in script that named PopupTheme.rc in config folder. But i do not now how to solwe them.
As for the second problem i even have no idea why it's happens.
You can find it here http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/2569362/

Could you help me with those problems?

That's an old theme that probably could use updating.

Rather than go through that process, check out StyleBar.

Qoute: xcal That's an old theme
But i still like it... :)

Qoute: xcal could use updating.

If you mean to update build of the litestep i've already done it. If you mean to update modules, i've tried different modules and it's also didn't make sense. The problems not solving.

The most interesting that from the first time the theme worked perfectly.

Qoute: xcal Rather than go through that process, check out StyleBar.

interesting. Thanks for the link. I will try it.

P.S.: Sorry for my bad english. It's improving, but very slowly :).
P.S.: If somebody now how to make the theme work normal, please let me now.

What xcal means, I believe, is that some modules in the theme are very old and should really be replaced by modern ones if the theme is to be used. For example, if it uses label or shortcut2, you could replace those modules with xLabel. This is most likely a pretty involved process -- especially if you're new to LS -- so just like xcal I would recommend you to try another theme. Considering the abundance of themes for LS it's not really worth the trouble updating an old and buggy one, at least not until you learn more. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches by getting some other similar theme.
