I am using Ash's Ultimatum theme right now, which I like a lot. In fact, I like most of Ash's themes. But it made me think of a theme idea that would be perfect. In ultimatum you have a bottom bar with winamp controls that can extend and contract. The side bar is the taskbar. What I was thinking was making a corner bar with 2 bars that extend out. Basically you have a minimalistic area in the corner for functions, but it can extend out for more, like winamp controls. I'm thinking like a swiss army bar. Looks small and harmless but suddenly all these blades and rulers and toothpicks come flying out.

The black part being the main bar, and the white being the extensions. Just a little concept of what the desktop might look like with my theme idea.
Looks like 18 or 21 by DarkFyre...I never can keep his theme names straight.
21 has a bunch of floating, blade-like elements. Only the VWM is vertical though (just fired it up...). I don't have a copy of 18 locally - or any of the other numbers. =P

I think it could be an interesting theme if you made the bars that slide out look like swords and make a sword noise when extending. Would be cool for RPG buffs.
Or for switchblade-packing ghetto hooligans.
