i am a big fan of fluxbox/blackbox on linux. i am trying to get something close to it for windows. off and on i find myself HAVING to use windows against my will. i've found litestep is great!

what i'm wondering is, is there a plugin/script for litestep.net that alows the use to move/resize windows like in blackbox? i want to hold down alt and left drag to move windows; while right drag will resize windows. i dont care about these events passing to the application or not.

please help if you know of any options

thank you

maybe you can use some window module, like one.dll and guestures or something and some hotkey's maybe...

I dont know of any module that does that on its own though.

So when a window has focus, press alt and move your mouse to resize it? no clicking?

no, you have to left click and drag for moving the window. and to resize, you right-click and drag

it's very convenient for windows that don't allow moving --- but you still REALLY want to move them. like start splash etc.

thanks for the suggestion -- maybe i'll code one myself? i dunno. i hate messin with visual studio -- has anyone written plugins with cygwin/minsys gcc?

there's a module called easymove. it's on shellfront.
there's a nuonsoft shellenhancer.

these answers i give are old.
and i'm not sure if either allow resizing. they do moving.

There's also an application called "winmover" that might be what you're looking for. It provides options to use alt+mouse to move/drag/max/min/etc.

Winmover is probaly what you're looking for, only one thing.

When testing it for myself I found I was able to drag the bars around (task bar, clock, etc) and that I had to refresh to get the locations back, to bad you can export that as a theme.rs, that'd be easier moving, lol.
