Hi all,

i put the following text into the theme.ini file of my theme (Smoked Glass 1.1).

[Install]
Wallpaper="wallpaper\Defector.jpg"
WallpaperStyle="stretched"

Font="misc\fonts\Nonstep.ttf"
FontName="Nonstep (TrueType)"

Should that code install the font in the windows font folder and also set the wallpaper to the one i have specified?

If not is it cause i have written it wrongly or is there another reason. Also, my ini file is called Theme.ini with a capital 'T'.

Cheers

Bone

Font: use lsfonts instead of theme.ini. I've yet to have it fail.
For the wallpaper, are you certain that the theme installer is set to allow wallpaper changes?

This is Windows--you must work for case to matter :).

Lord I have used batch files to copy fonts in the users system fonts folder before and works well.
Lsfonts run all the time and increases bulk IMO, but is the easy way.
D4 used the batch file to do this if you want an example.

Also filemaster-1.1.zip can do this

True...but you only have to load LSFonts once...then you never have to load it again after restart.

I thought lsfonts only loads it in memory dev?

Edit:
LSFonts.dll is a Litestep module which temporarily loads fonts without having to copy them to Windows' font directory.

Loads the specified font file. The font is not visible to other apps; it can only be used in LiteStep.

I thought LSFonts had an install option as well. Maybe that was something else.

I'll have a look at those modules. I'd rather the font was copied across to the fonts folder so that a module doesn't need to be loaded all of the time.

If you remember what module you were thinking of devilboi, i'd appreciate it.

Cheers yet again guys.

HAL: I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I'm a... fraid. Good afternoon, gentlemen. I am a HAL 9000 computer. I became operational at the H.A.L. plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January 1992. My instructor was Mr. Langley, and he taught me to sing a song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you.
Dave Bowman: Yes, I'd like to hear it, HAL. Sing it for me.
HAL: It's called "Daisy."
[sings while slowing down]
HAL: Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do. I'm half crazy all for the love of you. It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage. But you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two.
