When I installed LS, the install to my knowledge worked fine, the install finishes with a "you must restart to finish the install", after this is done, when the computer begins to load the shell, it pops up an error message that says "file not found" and nothing else loads, I don’t need help getting back to explorer or anything, I just need to know why this is happening and how to correct it, Thanks

Normally a "file not found" error, also tells you what file it was that wasn't found. Yes, no?

Sounds like you need to look at the titlebar of the error and find out what module isn't found and help it be found.

Check the titlebar for the FileNotFound window. If there is nothing in it that means that Windows can't actually find your LS install. Check your registry, or system.ini, settings and make sure it is pointed to the right place. To get the entries check the docs.

yah...we are aware of that problem and someone is working on it.

If that path is correct it is telling you that some or all of your modules can not be found. Best bet...re-run the installer.

Many of the M$ updates will try and set explorer back as the shell. However, it only verifies one of the reg keys in NT/2K/XP which kinda skrews up LS. If you re-verify your setup you should be fine.

Also...many M$ updates require Explorer to startup at least once to activate the upgrade. Until then machines are known to do funky things.

try rebooting into explorer once

IPHOOK32... that doesn't sound like a LS module, so it may be something else in windows. I may be on the wrong track here, but syz0, try this: Run "msconfig" and look through the tabs. Check for mentions of IPHOOK or something similar... if you find it, try unchecking the box. Hope that helps!
