do you want a visual shortcut (like an icon) or a hotkey shortcut (with keyboard keys) or something else?

if you want a shortcut on your desktop, read the shortcut2 documentation in c:\litestep\lsdocs.

if you want a hotkey shortcut, read the hotkey documentation in c:\litestep\lsdocs.

and... if you have some problems... download any theme with shortcuts and read step.rc - to learn how to create shortcuts or just copy the text %)

Finsta, why don't you check a working step.rc and stop asking obvious stuff? There are plenty here. Check simplicity, the example i posted was from there.

I know but do I edit those fields, that's where I get confused

This is all about asking direct questions and getting direct answers. Ask a vague question that you can find the answer to and you will get a vague answer of "RTFM" or a copy and paste of the format. Ask a direct question like "Why doesn't this work?" and you may get an answer you want.

ooohhhh, if he's coming from explorer, maybe he's asking for icons on the desktop. Try deskfolders or folderview. I hope that was what you wanted.

I think he is trying to put a shortcut with a space in the binary path. Not much good it does to guess though.

Finsta: could you make a fake, a representation in photoshop or paint of what you want, togather with a correct explanation. If you don't try to make it clear we can't help you.
