is there any chance of adding a multiple image animation loop function to xLabel? id do it myself, but have no idea where id start.

xLabel already does image animation with looping.
What are you trying to do that isn't working?
it does.... but the method it uses is iffy. you need the images lined up next to each other in one long image, which wont do in my situation where i have them all dynamically downloading every hour as separate images.
More details are needed before a good solution can be offered - I'm sure something could be scripted - but in the mean time, you could also check out
