Manual Installation Of Modules Thread last updated on 2006-05-14 07:22:38

Ok, I'm obviously new to litestep and I've got installed it on a computer without the internet.

So when I downloaded a theme that I wanted it prompted me that I needed to download the modules I didn't have installed already. Not having the internet on that computer, I can't download them so I did it manually on this one and transfered the zip files to the computer.

Now, to install these, do I just have to transfere the zips into the modules/archive folder as stated in this FAQ: http://www.ls-universe.info/plugins/faq/faq.php?0.cat.4.4

Or must I extract the .dll files into the Litestep directory and manually edit the step.rc file?

Any help would be great and feel free to go off at me if the question I'm asking is blazingly obvious. :)

Just put the .zips in your archive and netloadmodule will do the rest. It'll still say "download" when you recycle, but it will then install them from the archive.

Ok cheers for that, I've got just one more little question, when I recycle, I get a prompt saying titled "C:/litestep/xpopup-1.2.2.dll: Could Not Locate Module. Please Check Your Configuration."

As this is obviously a very needed module I'd like to get it to work, but I cant see what is wrong. The path shown is right, and the .dll file is there, but it's still giving me the prompt. Thanks in advance.
