Hotkey configuration - Media Keys Thread last updated on 2006-05-13 08:20:52

Hi again all - I recently reinstalled LiteStep as some of you may know due to some issues I had with configuring it and the fact that it was under Program Files... hehe. My issue is regarding hotkeys, and I want to verify exactly how to do that before I just go ahead and do so like last time.

I have a media keyboard with the play/pause, stop, mute, volume up/down, next track, previous track buttons and I use scankey to detect the values for these keys. Now... do I put them in vk104.txt in the jKey directory as I did before, and if so what are the commands? (i.e. mute , 000000AF, for example) Also, do I need v_bang for this? I seem to be unable to find v_bang anywhere. When I configure the vk104 do I also need to modify the hotkey.rc and personal.rc files, and exactly what do I need to do to them?

Sorry if this sounds "n00bish" but I'm fairly new to LiteStep, anyway and haven't spent alot of time with it, but now that I'm considering moving to LS rather than Explorer, this'd be a good time to ask these "n00bish" questions. Thanks! :-D

Awesome, for some reason the "forum search" isn't working for me though. Let me try it again ... hehe. Anyway, thanks! :-D

[EDIT]: ROFL, I even replied to that thread - perhaps I should keep track of this stuff ... *creates a LiteStep folder in his bookmarks* - hehe. :-D
