Hi! There seems to be memoryleak or something with one of the modules. All themes that have some alpha fading shadows etc. make litestep eat up memory. I've seen 440 MB of virtual memory allocated for litestep. While Insight theme eats memory ,Lock-Solid doesn't. Drag taskmanager under the Insight's bar and watch in the Process tab memory size increase (slowly but steadily). This is very annoying, having to restart litestep everytime :( I'll check further, maybe i'll be able to pinpoint the module or something.
If you put any app under any true alpha trans and that app changes...yes it will chew through memory. It just needs to keep using it so it can keep updating the LS module with the informaiton changing underneath. The key would be, does it release the memory over time?
Oooh, good observation, DeViLbOi. I was thinking along the same lines. :-D

Right now, its been running nicely at max 20 MB, so it might be releasing. I got worried ,because sometimes ,like running a game etc. fullscreen , litestep would eat up most of the ram and windows would start to crawl.
yeah...happens...fullscreen games can do that. Something you might want to try pause a recycle and see if that helps. If it doesn't you can do a !quit as you launch the game.
Or you can get 2GB of RAM like me! Weeeeeeeeee!
You know, I was playing Amped 3 and it said the same thing.
