is there a mod that i can post little notes and whatnot onto the desktop?

If you have no luck there, there are sticky notes in the fractalglass theme and (better) ones in popsicle.

i asked west, he said it was a lot of xlabel, but being that im lazy and dumb i wanted to find a mod that could simply do it :D

Look at the ATnotes standalone EXE. Free, easy to use, lots of options.
