i'm knee deep in trying to pull together a theme from various bits of others, good fun, i'm new to shells in general but have a tiny bit of programming and computer fiddling experience

i have an issue with versions, since different themes use different versions of modules, before checking each module doc's, is there any expectation of backward compatibility with the newer versions of modules?
