Theme search function Thread last updated on 2006-06-26 07:37:08

Hey guys,
been a while since I've been here, but was looking around for a new theme or two. Thought I'd make a site request...a search function for the theme section, by name or author.

I know it can sort by the two, but it gets a little tiresome scrolling through numerous pages looking for a specific author.

Also, other than wincustomize and deviantart, is there a site that hosts themes? I was looking for themes by jalist and couldn't find any.

I've been using a tweaked Reluna for about 6 months and still love it, but I'm trying to hunt down favorite themes of other users. I stumbled across some suggestions in the themes forum, but would love any updated suggestions you guys have.

Thanks for your help!

Jonathan

Wrong forum. :P

Was there a specific theme you were looking for?

Gotcha, sorry 'bout that. No I came across an old thread where you and cerbie and DB made some suggestions on your favorite themes and I was trying to look them up and it was a pain in the neck trying to find a single theme by author or by title. A search function in the themes section would be a huge help.

I'm not really looking for a specific theme. I'm just trying to branch out. I've gotten so comfortable with Reluna, and I still like the way it looks, but I'm sure there are more things out there. I mean, why stop tweaking? I'm far from ever building my own shell, I just don't have the time to dedicate to it, but I really like the work that's been put out.

Anyway, I guess I'm looking for themes that are visually attractive and intuitive to use. With Reluna, the right click on the short cuts brings up different menus of your favorite programs. Log off and Power off on taskbar, run command on taskbar, little stuff. I know that most themes inlcude the run command and what not.

What themes do you find visually attractive and intuitive?

When does somebody do something about the theme browsing thing which sucks donkey c**k, The theme searching button has been suggested like 10 times, and still nothing?
I have no idea who is teh webmaster here, but this is a quote of DeViLbOi's answer to a search suggestion in 06.02.15 @ 17:27
"Its in the rewrite plans"

So it has been in rewrite plans for almost half a year?

C'mon, i stopped using litestep 'cause i finded it aweful to search for new themes all the time and it was pain in the ass to find one that u could use without loads of bugs (except insight props for Ashtefere if i remember the author right) 'cause this is the only site which has litestep themes..

So c'mon, for example, a "rating" function (ie. 0-5 stars)
And a browse filter with "Rating" ascending and descending,
A simple search function and so on...
