OK, so I installed LiteStep on my computer and everything works fine with the basic theme austerity, but when I try to run the theme popsicle I get an error message that says "Error: Could not locate module. Please check your configuration." And I look in the C:\LiteStep\modules and I can see it right there, so it's not missing. Help anyone?

You need MSVCR71.DLL. Stick it in your \windows\system32 folder.

It's in the mzscript-0.9.13 zip file (\modules\archive), or easily found on google.

Ahhh, OK. I had already d/l that but I put it in C:\LiteStep, not WINDOWS\system 32. * sigh * Such ignorance is saddening.. What is the purpose of msvcr71.dll? And why was it not downloaded automatically? Why was it not needed for other themes to work properly? Sorry for the barage of questions but I want to learn so if you don't mind answering them...

OK, now my brother altered popsicle a bit so the player and launcher were not on the theme. That was what I was running. When I run the original theme, I get the identical error message but for dynamp-0.51. What is wrong with this? (I was having the problem with mzscript-0.9.13 on both themes, but dynamp-0.51 is only a problem on the original.)

msvcr70.dll windows\system
msvcr71.dll windows\system32

It will make your system happy again.

OK, well, like I already said, the msvcr71.dll fixed the one, but the error message for dynamp-0.51.dll is still appearing. Any other ideas to make my system happy?

Sorry. And that error message is still appearing after installing msvcr70.dll in windows\system.

Try changing to dynamp-0.50 in the theme.rc. Not sure about syntax compatibility, but I remember that helping before.

Not sure which dll 0.51 depends on.

I think you are awesome. Yeah, that did it. No error message and the player works now. Thanks a bunch. What are msvcr71.dll and msvcr70.dll?

Stop hitting on me. I am married.

To give you the best answer about those msvcr dlls, I'd have to google it, so you might aswell, instead. ;)

Btw, you could try using dependancywalker on 0.51, if you wanted to try and track down what you may be missing.

Yeeaaaah, my bad. I mean, these forums just turn me on. What can I say?

OK, thanks. I'll do that.
