i was wondering if there was away to set each of the multiple desktop things to a sparate monitor. so if i was to click one of the buttons my mouse will move to that monitor and control that desktop. i will only be running two monitors if this will work and i'm using and ATI 9800.

I think rabidvwm supports multi-monitor setups.

It does, but not quite the way you're asking for. It can either control all monitors together or only a single monitor (but with all the windows mapped weird in the miniview).

You could sort of do it with a bunch of scripting and reloading rabidvwm, but there'd still be gaps in the display where the other monitor would be.
