is it possible to update an old theme to be OTS2 compliant?

i was at west's site and saw his akai enhanced and liked the look, and would like to use it.

Sure, it's possible. Depending on the modules used, however, it may not be quick and easy. All the graphics can certainly be re-used, though. The easiest thing to do would be to persuade West that this really is the next theme he wants to update. =P
