I have written a background changer to aid me in changing my background while using LiteStep.

You can set it to start with windows from regedit.

Download here:

Instructions:
Open a file and set it as background..how simple can it be?

A Bug: Supports ONLY jpg's...even though you can select png and bmp..

Click on the tray icon to minimize/show the application.

To exit you can rightclick on tray and hit exit.

While not really a Litestep thing at all, it's a nifty utility you could use with explorer, too.

I found the tiled checkbox to not do anything.

Add in stretch/center options, and fix the jpg only thing, and you have a really nice little app.

New version done!
Supports PNG/JPG/BMP, centered, tiled and streched. Possible to choose start with windows :)

Well it seems to be just about done now..any suggestions for new features?

Good update! Working nice.

Suggestions:

-When searching for an image, if you could add an option for Files of Type to be "Images (*.bmp,*.jpg,*.png)" instead of just one type at a time, that would be great.

-When selecting the tile/center/stretch button, it would be good if the preview image updated.

-Remove the Maximize button from the title bar.

Dumb question...but what was wrong with the LS modules that did the same functions? I mean its kewl and all that you wrote it...just wondering the shortcomings you found.

ripdajacker: Here's an idea. If you want to bring this in to the realm of a new litestep module, make your app a loadable litestep module. Make it skinnable (and/or able to use solidcolors like xlabel). Give it hide/show/move !bangs. I don't think there exists an all-in-one wallpaper module that has a built-in preview window.

Make a feature for bringing up a random pic from a specified folder and you have my vote :)
