sticky window patch for rabidvwm Thread last updated on 2006-03-02 01:55:41

There's a well-known issue with RabidVWM dragging maximized XP windows between desks. Somebody posted a link in the forums to a patch for RabidVWM that would fix this problem, but after 15-20 minutes of searching I can't seem to find it. Anyone know where this is?

However... I think this is only a 'fix' if you have msstyles turned on. If you don't it seems to break things badly - at least it did for me.

Lots of weird shite. Windows got stuck halfway between desktops, or disappeared completely. I have had no issues with maximized "classic" windows using rabidvwm-1.2.2, so I'm sticking with that for now.

I've been using 1.2.1i exclusively since it came out (as I sometimes use visual styles, and sometimes not) and I've never had something like that happen.

I most certainly am not. I'm perfectly capable of *creating* a problem. Why would I need to make one up?

Update: I did go ahead and switch to 1.2.1i, and haven't had any issues on my home machine yet. I'll try on the work machine tomorrow; perhaps it was a glitch with a particular video card?

Update 2: No glitches with 1.2.1i on either machine now. I wonder WTF was going on before then? It stopped as soon as I changed back to 1.2.2 earlier. Weird.
