Installed new build... changes jkey? Thread last updated on 2007-01-26 12:38:37

Hey guys, I'm sorry to have to bother folks with this, but I updated my build to run the new Obsidian theme. loving it so far. I programmed my laptop buttons to work in that theme the way I did in Reluna. However, after updating the build just my volume buttons won't work any more, even in Reluna, and I can't figure out what's changed. I checked jkey and all the keys are still correct and accounted for. At first I just thought it was Obsidian, but the same goes for Reluna and I've changed nothing in there since updating the build. Any thoughts on what may have changed? Thx a ton!

Jonathan

And nothing has changed in your hotkey.rc?

Well dang...I went back in this morning, changed themes to Reluna, refreshed...and now my volume buttons are working again. Go figure. Alright, so my issue is probably the syntax in the skinbase.rc and theme.rc file in Obisidian. In skinbase I just added:

*NetLoadModule "$jkeyRevID$" - to match the syntax in the rest of the file for NetLoadModules

I also tried "$jkeymodule$" like I have it in Reluna. I get an error with both of those.

In theme.rc I just changed NetLoadModule to NetInstallModule the way the rest are.

So it seems my issue is that Obsidian is not loading jkey and my vk104 file. I'm a little lost on the syntax for Obsidian. Any help there? Thank you for your help xcal.

Got it! I didn't have v_bang loading because once the amp play buttons were working, I thought the rest should. Got v_bang loading and installing and everything's golden. Just had to talk it out. Thx! Obsidian's pretty nice BTW.

can you help me? I have the same problem, but I haven't change my theme, is the first that I have and my volume controls don't work, so nothing has changed in the LS files, so I don't know what configuration should be right, thanks

You should have waited until tomorrow to post, so we could celebrate this thread's 1 year birthday.
