Is there a possibility to make a module who gives you a preview of a window (not a VWM Window, but just the gui of a running process)

Yeah, I think sryo was looking for something like this ages ago too, not usre if he found anything. pretty sure there isnt any modules that do that though.

there is a windows hack for alt+tab for this.

Yeah, but that's part of the new Vista API. You can't use it anywhere else.
you can take window screenshot manually with an 10-15 seconds update, so there will be no problem with CPU usage... i think it is possible to make something usable...

picaview is exactly what you're talking about. you rigth click on an image and see a thumbnail preview in the properties menu
jugg the thing you mention there is exactly what i'm looking for, sadly enough not as a module for litestep but i'll use it
