Flash Desktops? Thread last updated on 2006-01-28 20:59:35

So I want to start doing some flash desktops to make things more animated but the only programs that help do this only work with the regular windows shell. Is there some way in Litestep can have a flash desktop? Does anyone else do this/have screenshots of it?

I created my own launcher in flash. See the CTRL-ALT-F1 active post in the general forum. However I don't think this is what you are after.

What is a "flash desktop" anyway? A desktop with Flash animations on it? An GUI made in Flash? And what are those "things" that you want to make more animated?

Well what I'm basically looking to do is run a flash file on the desktop as a wallpaper type of thing in which it runs behind everything else, like the start menu.

oborzevate-0.12.dll lets you run a browser window on the desktop. You could make an html file, embed your flash program in it and then point the module to that page.

Either download the zip from this site and extract the dll into your modules folder, or (this is easier) stick a
*netloadmodule oborzevate-0.12
line in your theme.rc.
