I haven't figured out what hotspot is good for, can someone plz tell me
It has been used in the past to simulate the AutoHide function of the explorer taskbar.
You can use it to execute a command when the mouse cursor enters or leaves a certain area of the screen. Particularly (sp?) useful for autohide/-show, but you can use it for a lot of other things as well :)
I like them for using mouse gestures to move between vwms...
usually ya have the whole side of the screen active for changing the desktop and that's a little too much, i think. with hotspots (ckHotspots.dll for example) you can define any area on the screen like a corner or sth else ;)
yeah, it's the small area in either corner that's best, imho...
eman: why don't you just use gestures.dll for mouse gestures ;)
Never used hotspots myself, but as said it can be quite useful for changing vwms, or it can be used to show/hide bar (like explorer...)
