Help - System Tray M.I.A. Thread last updated on 2003-03-23 07:29:12

I was using Carapace2 as a manager for three replacement shells - LiteSTEP (my favorite of course), SharpE, and geoShell. Somewhere along the way, my system tray stopped functioning under any shell except Explorer. No icons, no nothing. I uninstalled all the shells except LS, including Carapace2, hoping the tray would start to function again in LiteSTEP but it didn't work. I use the system tray alot and I'd like to have it back. Anyone have anything like this happen to them? Anyone know how to fix it?

sounds like you installed DesktopX

I have DesktopX on my system. However, LiteSTEP was working fine with DesktopX installed. Are you saying DesktopX screws the system tray up for other shells?
