Desktop icons.. Thread last updated on 2006-01-16 16:41:05

This actually deals with a specific theme -- "Lock.Solid", and I was wondering how to add desktop icons (because there are My Computer, Recycle Bin, and Firefox icons by default) just to make the theme look cooler.

Any/all help is appreciated.

Hahaha I have to agree with DeV. It shows the answer right in the screenshot! Btw, litenick, -10 coolness points for not linking to the release on THIS site.

/me wonders why having MORE desktop icons makes a theme cooler...

It was rather how the ICONS were, not the amount. I guess I can be uncool.

Btw, I didn't think it mattered where I linked it.. regardless..

I still don't understand what the hell "WIN C" means (the shortcut keys, and WIN C is just an example) but I'll figure it out before anybody sighs. ;)

But seriously, if you don't mind answering my dumb noob questions, please help. I always appreciate help..

RTFM - there's a reason people go to the trouble of writing documentation for their themes.

... In am confused about the actual questions...

To add an icon: !PopupTheme (SHIFT+Leftclick the desktop) components, deskicons, add icons.

WIN C is a hotkey. WIN key is that little windows icon button on your keyboard, c is the little c button on your keyboard, press them together and the ampbox will be toggled.

WIN D will toggle the deskicons ;)

Hope that helps, and yeah, just read the readme.txt (thats why its named that), but it must be pretty hard to understand if you dont know what the WIN key is, or what a hotkey is either...

I just never heard of the WIN key being used like that, be that make me stupid or not, I'm sorry. I do know what a hotkey is, I'm just a bit confused with stuff right now. Anyway, thanks a bunch Fractal, and sorry for the stupid questions.

You've used up your sigh quota, DeViLbOi. No more for you until next year.
