I rebooted after doing all the regedit stuff and it says it cannot find "STEP.RC". Do I need to rename something or am I missing the file?

use the installer in the downloads section, then go from there (editing)

Noone here is going to explain how to make Litestep work from scratch. there must be some tutorial out there... or something... ;)

LMAO, installer? That's not an installer. Regardless, I compiled the files in a folder and did the registry editing and no go. Oh well? If nobody is willing to help then I'm not willing to work on litestep (which you shouldn't have to).

Let me guess. You're downloading something that's clearly marked "This is a LiteStep BUILD" (those are updates) and your browser doesn't scroll down far enough to see "LiteStep Installer."

edit - West is stalking me. =\
edit2 - Or am I telepathic and stalking him??

Man, you got it all backwards. Did you just download a build and try to run it? You need the installer, just like fractal said. Install LS, then upgrade the build.

BTW, what do you mean "work on LiteStep"?

hah, we posted at the exact same time :D

yeah, he tried the build, he posted a question in that thread also :P and if he's not willing to read, then we're not willing to help! (which we shouldn't have to!)

That tone of voice (tone of text?) makes me feel icky.

I'm pretty sure I downloaded the installer, but I will try again.
