I'm a newbie, sorry. I do have a question if you would prefer not to read it then don't! Anyway i need to set up a very basic "media centre/center" style Windows 2000 front end so my family can get "media" Very easily with nice big (huge) buttons for our low res TV (have S-video connection on my ATI 9200SE).

Is there a ready built nice and easy .exe for me out there? (and if not is this a good/bad/ugly idea?) is there a script so that it will log onto another WORKGROUP computer (suppling user name and password)

so

1, Big fonts/buttons for low res displays /or even patrially sighted people??)

2, Loads movies/pics/audio (*.mp3'2 easy as pie)

3, sorry if this post causes some kind of offence, will delete if it does.

1, easy: use xlabel
2, mp3's yes, but movies no (you can load another app though)
3, hahah...

Just figure out theming, investigate each part of the overalll question individually (or ask here if you cant find anything) and it should be simple.

I could make one for you, but youd have to pay me ;)

1) anything is possible
2) sure...winamp does it all
3) its a real question...what is to offend?

and well...your other part of the question...nothing has been released yet that does this; but it has been done. And what do you mean by "Script so that it will log onto another WORKGROUP computer"? Windows does that.

I had come across this site a while ago and tried it on a high-defintion television and it worked well (not too sure how it looks at lower resolutions). I am not sure if it is exactly what you are looking for, but I think it may be something to consider.

Heres the link:

Hope this helps.
