Litestep running slowly (REALLY slowly) Thread last updated on 2005-12-12 18:43:18

Hey. I've had Litestep for about 6 months and had no problems, but now, for some reason, it seems to be running extremely slowly. A quick glance at the task manager says that an instance of SVCHost.exe is using all the processing power, kind of like in bursts (one second the CPU is running at 100%, the next it's at 4%, then right back up to 100% over and over again.)
I thought I had a virus, but when I set my computer back to use explorer as the shell, the computer runs fine, so now I'm thinking its a problem with LS. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you set your PC to use Windows AutoUpdate? I had similar issues caused by it trying to use some explorer resource.

Maybe it's just beacuse my computer isn't the most powerful machine on the planet.

Yeah, my LSUseSystemDDE is on (uncommented).

My Automatic Updates is set to "Automatic Every day at 4:00PM"
