Hi,

I noticed that any changes to the default system icons, e.g. through an edited shell32.dll, or through a dedicated tool, don't seem to be taken into account by litestep. How would I do this with Litestep?

Thanks for any help :)

Tutorial for hacking system icons using litestep.
As far as I know there is no other way around it atm.

Well, I figured it out and decided to help if anyone needs it.
1.Download resource hacker and replacer.

http://www3.telus.net/_/replacer/

2.Use resource hacker to open the shell32.dll file in the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder and replace the icon group files you wish.

3.Windows wont let you modify the .dll, so save it in a directory you can remember (such as the desktop). Open replacer and follow the directions to swap the shell32.dll in the Windows directory with your new modified version. Reboot and enjoy!
