Hi,

I've been using one or another version of the Litegnome theme ( http://www.litestep.net/index.php?section=2&action=details&id=374 ) for years. I'd like to diversify but I've grown accustomed to Litegnome's App Launcher (right/left clicks on taskbar buttons drops-down user configureable shortcuts). I'd like to get reccommendations for different types of application launchers, either LS-specific or perhaps an external app that runs in the systray or is available via popups invoked by keystrokes (I'd prefer the latter). I'd like the list to be heirarcichal: the apps will be subdivided into related categories (web, system, gaming, misc). Finally, I'd like all of my regularly and semi-regularly used apps to be available via the Launcher.

Many thanks

I just organize my frequently used shortcuts into a folder, sorted into subfolders by category, and then define a popup menu that displays the contents. I access it either by hotkey, clicking on the desktop with a mod key, or by clicking on an xlabel "button" in my theme. Since I store the shortcut folder in the 'Links' section of my Favorites, I can also access it with the menus in any explorer window (just turn on the 'Links' Toolbar). Handy and flexible; you can drag and drop things in the explorer links toolbar and they'll be updated in your LS menus as well. Here's my configuration ($Favorites$ is defined for you in the core):

ShortcutsDir "$Favorites$Links\Shortcuts\\\"

;---[ Shortcut access via popup ]

*Popup "Shortcuts" !New !PopupShortcuts
*Popup "Shortcuts" "!PopupDynamicFolder:$ShortcutsDir$"
*Popup ~new
