Did anyone manage to get the plugins to work with LS ?
I can't manage to get them to work.
I've contacted the author, and after a few email exchanges he gave up(he hasn't used LS in a long time).

thanks

hey LRa,

What version are you trying to use? I got the plugins to work with rainlendar-0.21.2. Are you trying to use the latest rc3 build or 0.21.2?

The latest rc3.

OK, I have it working with rc3. Here is what I did:

In my theme.rc rile, I entered
*NetLoadModule rainlendar-0.20 load rainlendar.dll

When I recycled, I had Litestep automatically download that version. Then I went to my modules directory and opened the rainlendar-0.20 folder that was just created. Replace rainlendar.dll with the rainlendar.dll from the rc3 zip file. Then copy the Plugins folder from the rc3 zip file to your rainlendar-0.20 folder. You can delete the old plugins in that raindendar-0.20 directory so you are left with the updated rainlendar.dll file and the plugins folder with the rc3 plugins inside. (To do this you may have to close rainlendar/litestep in order to replace/delete files). Restart litestep or recycle and your done.

The weird problem I am having is that if I rename that rainlendar-0.20 folder to rainlendar-0.22-rc3, and updated my themes.rc file to "*NetLoadModule rainlendar-0.22-rc3 load rainlendar.dll", when I recycle I get the NetLoadModule Required Modules box, asking me to download rainlendar-0.22-rc3, even though it is already in my modules directory. Any ideas on this?

Thanks,
-Joe

Ok, I followed your instrutions but I still can't see the plugins.

If you havn't already, you can try adding RainlendarPluginsPath to your step.rc file. Set the path to the folder that you plugins are in. If you do not define this parameter, by default it is supposed to use a plugins folder under the RainlendarPath.

When I define a directory and put all the plugins there, I get this error : Exception during module initialzation.
Please contact the module writer.

Does rainlendar function properly if you use version 0.21.2? Is it just rc3 that is causing the events to not work correctly for you?

Both.
I also noticed something weird. If I recycle the theme, it seems to recognize the plugings in the config menu and won't give the error.
Note that I don't think that the plugins are working, even though he recognizes them used that workaround.

I think the reason that it does not work is because of the directory structure of the plugins. Try doing this to get version 0.21.2 to work:
1. Delete out all the rainlendar files from your modules directory.
2. Open up your theme.rc file and set
"*NetLoadModule rainlendar-0.21.2 load rainlendar.dll"
3. Recycle. You should get a popup telling you that you need to download the rainlendar plugin. Accept and download the rainlendar plugin.
4. Next, go to your modules folder. Open up the rainlendar folder, and you will notice that all the plugin.dll files are in the root of the rainlendar directory. Create a new folder called Plugins, and place iCalPlugin, IniFormatPlugin, OutlookPlugin, and ServerPlugin in the folder. Rainlendar.dll should remain in the rainlendar-0.21.2 folder.
5. Recycle and it should work. You should also be able to update these plugins/rainlendar.dll with the ones from rc3 and have it work.

GREAT!!! it's working.
Although I didn't have to copy the files to the Plugins dir.

Weird that it is working since when I did exactly the same only with this line added to the theme.rc :
*NetLoadModule rainlendar-0.20 load rainlendar.dll
it didn't work.

Hmm...I absolutley can't get it to work with Themes that don't come with it.

I'm loading it in the .rc and it loads...but its 2 blank boxes and the Calendar window is no where. No matter what path I send the Skin too, it won't recognize it.

Anyone else having this problem?

Check the log via the config menu to see which directory it searchs for skins.
