ok, i'm new to this forum, but not new to litestep.

I've had earlier versions of litestep in the past on 95/98 machines, and lost interest in it a few years ago, and have rekindled my interest in litestep again as of late.

well, i used omar's installer and i am currently running v.0.24.7 and cannot get ANY other theme to work, ost2 or not. everytime i attempt a theme change the modules won't load or aren't present, and i cannot find them/download them from the prompt. the themes i've kept to try and work with are hysterica and glow_v2...

i'm running win2000 on my machine if that helps any

Hi,

Can the NetLoadModule (the module that downloads the theme modules) not find the .dlls?

If you click download it will search automagically.

whenever i click on download, it return back rather quickly with red x's beside the missing modules.

my cable connection wasn't working properly at the time, so that may have had quite a bit to do with it... but thats another problem ;)

Well, I ended up installing LiteStep on the laptop, and got the modules downloaded.

Now, my next question is, could i just transfer the entire LiteStep directory to my desktop box and run fine?

aww screw it, i'll just try it.

Transfer the "/modules/archive" directory inside your litestep dir to copy the modules, don't just copy the whole litestep directory (although in theory that wouldn't mess anything up except any personal settings you may have configured.

The archive directory contains all the zips for the modules that NetLoadModule grabbed and installed for you. By default NetLoadModule will look in "archive" before looking on the web, so if the files are there it won't look on the net.
